Greetings from the mountains of West Virginia!
Update: We left Lexington at 7:00 this morning and the kiddos were extremely excited! Ten minutes into the ride, “Mrs Fischer, how long until we get there?” I had prepared myself for a long ride. However, our friends have been amazing. They have enjoyed Schoolhouse Rocks, socializing, and they didn’t even groan when homework packets were distributed. 4th graders have been busy solving area and perimeter problems, while 5th grade is working on Social Studies topics such as the Oregon Trail. We stopped for a lunch break and are now heading through the curvy roads of West Virginia. It’s a lovely drive.
Thanks to Mrs. Shalash for these wonderful photos! We hope our blog allows you to join us (even if virtually) on our trip!
